Behaviour in Dogs

Dogs are one of the most popular pets. They are known for their intelligence, loyalty and unconditional love. But did you know that there is a science behind their behaviour?

A study found that dogs have a certain hierarchy in the pack. This hierarchy is based on the order of dominance among them. The dominant dog will be the alpha dog and it will take care of all other dogs in the pack. The second most dominant dog will be called beta and so on...

This study also found that when dogs play, they tend to play with one another as if they were playing a game of "King of the Hill". The alpha dog will show its authority by climbing to a high point such as a tree stump or rock while other dogs try to climb up to it and push him off his position. .As with any other pet, dogs take on a specific personality.

Dogs have a lot of personality. They can be rowdy, lazy or gentle. The way they play is dependent on their personality and the type of individual dog you have. They can also be trained to play with a toy or ball, which will help them get exercise and develop better social skills with other dogs.
